Description The albatross is the King of Birds. SIZE: 2.75" x .75" Thinking of the various species they are just truly amazing and any description of them has to involve a whole raft of extremes. Stretch your arms out as far as you can: that's right, extend the fingers. That's one wing of a smaller Wandering or Royal Albatross. Double it and add the body width and you get an idea of what we are talking about here. As one observer said, nothing quite prepares you for a bird with a thirteen foot wingspan that glides silently up to the fantail of your boat like a ghost and looks you over. |
