Description Falco sparverius The smallest and most common of North American falcons, you might see a Kestrel looking for a fat grasshopper or cricket early in the morning or in late afternoon. Its beautiful black and white face markings and distinctive rapid wing beats followed by short glides make it easy to spot. In general, the falcons have slender, long pointed wings while hawks have broader, more rounded ones. SIZE: 1.5"x1.25" |
