Plover - Pin
Out of Stock

Description
Art History - No Longer Available Charadrius semipalmatus

You can see these birds migrating on either coast all the way up and down, and they are fairly common residents of beaches, marshy flats, lake shores and so on. They eat worms and mollusks, insects and suchlike. They have a foraging posture, like the pin, with the head up, while similar sandpipers and sanderlings etc. are more of a head down routine. The Black necklace is pretty diagnostic. SIZE: 1.25"x1"
