Description Both eyes see slightly different images. The muscles shown here swivel the eye up and down and sideways. Both eyes move at once, but see slightly different images which overlap to create a 3D picture. The iris (colored ring) controls light entering the eye through the pupil. The retina on the back of the eye receives the image on over 100 million cells and converts these to electrical impulses which are then sent to the brain. Blue eyes are also available.
